Shirley Mae Lee of Gresham, Oregon, beloved wife of Lanny “Dale” Lee, went to be with our Lord at the age of 86.
She was born to Bert and Hazel Allen in Cortland, Nebraska. Her family later moved to The Dalles, Oregon. She graduated high school in 1950. She worked outside of her home for a few years at Dahlin Dental Lab, Montgomery Ward, David Douglas and Centennial schools food service department. Later she opened her own daycare which allowed her to also be a stay at home mother. In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating and baton twirling. She was an avid bowler, knitter and seamstress. Her greatest joys included taking camping trips with her husband in their motor home, playing cards and dice with family and friends, relaxing at their beach house and spending time with her numerous grandchildren. She was a member of 160th Avenue Church of Christ.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years; sons, Ken Thomas and Brian Lee (Jamie); daughters, Kelly Yokom and Kathy Alford (Vern); 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Bailey; brother, Larry Allen; daughters, Kelly Czupryk (Lee) and Venus Haines (Lee).
