Ruth Corinne Davis April 20, 1927 - March 4, 2020

Heaven has a new angel, Ruth Corinne Davis.
Ruth was born April 20th, 1927 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She lived in Los Angeles during her youth with her parents Letha and Frank Davis, sister Sonya and brother Kenneth.
Her family moved to the Gresham area in the early 1950’s.
Ruth was employed at Diamond Fruit Growers in Hood River for many years where she made lifelong friendships. She received numerous awards for perfect attendance and was awarded for 28 consecutive years of service. She was also a member of the Teamsters.
Ruth worked at Lewis Packing in Gresham during the summer months, and ended her work career at The Oregon Bulb Farm in Sandy.
She was very artistic and loved ceramics and painting. She won countless awards for her ceramics at local shows.
She enjoyed photography, and always had her camera ready at family gatherings. She was our official family photographer, and thanks to Ruth we have many wonderful memories captured in time.
Her passion was reading. She was on the top of the list at the local library for most read books.
Ruth most recently resided at Powell Vista Manor in Gresham, where she enjoyed activities with her friends. She loved going to bingo, sharing meals and spending time with precious friends she made over the years there.
Most of all, she loved her family. Her family meant the world to her.
Ruth is survived by her niece Brenda Blumenthal and husband Aaron, nephew Rob Morfitt and wife Kristi, great nieces Lisa Keely and Megan Morfitt, along with great-great niece and nephew Alexis and Payton, and her beloved little dog Peanut.
