Bob passed away in peace on Sunday, June 9, 2019 in the comfort of his home in Oregon City, OR.
Born in Billings, MT on October 9, 1947 the son of Wesley and May (Salte) Jacobs. At the age of 11, he and his family moved to Portland, Oregon. He attended David Douglas High School, graduating in 1966.
Bob worked for Burlington Northern Railroad before deciding on continuing his education to become a journeyman electrician for Local 48 and Portland Public Schools. Where he retired from in 2015.
Active in his local community. As a member of the Troutdale Lions Club, he enjoyed volunteering at many local public events. Bob had a passion for HAM Radios and model trains. He and Sharlyn enjoyed traveling to Norway, where Bob has family.
With his level of patients and how knowledgeable he always took pleasure in helping others when needed.
Bob is survived by his wife of 37 years; Sharlyn Jacobs, sons; Robert and Kenneth, mother; May Caudle, siblings; Clifford, Larry and Myrna Jacobs and three grandsons.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Gresham Memorial Chapel 257 SE Roberts Ave. Gresham, OR 97080.
