Nolan Govan, 89 years of age died of natural causes Sept. 11, 2023.
He was born to Mattie and Leonard Govan Nov. 3, 1933. Nolan was one of 11 siblings who maintained the family farm in Lincoln, Texas. He later served honorably as a crewman in the U.S. Army. Nolan retired after 20 years of driving semi-trucks for Safeway. He enjoyed spending time with family, attending sporting events and cycling.
He is survived by his son; Kenyatta and family.
Nolan will be laid to rest with honors at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, in Willamette National Cemetery.
