Our mother, Marie Pearl Eklund, passed away on May 4, 2023 in Sandy, Oregon at the age of 97. She would have had her 98th birthday on May 20th. She lived a long and full life. She was very loved and will be missed terribly. Marie was a longtime resident of Gresham & co-founder of Heidi’s Restaurant of Gresham, which opened in 1968.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Donald B. Eklund in 2020, son Nicholas D. Eklund in 2019 & Son-in-law Michael O’Hara in 2022.
She is survived by Le’Ann & Don Marjama, Marsha O’Hara, Daughter-in-law, Linda Eklund. 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her Sister, Georgetta Kehrli, nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 @ 1:00pm at Gresham Memorial Chapel, private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery with her husband Don.
