Loran Slothower, of Portland, Oregon, passed on October 24, 2022 at the age of 77. He was born in Coulee City, Washington in 1945 and raised in Kennewick, Washington. Loran joined the Navy and served during the the Vietnam War from1965-1969. He worked as a tool & die maker/machinist and was married 40 years to Arlene Slothower. His hobbies incuded fishing, boating, camping, rock hounding, cooking and projects of all kinds. Loran and his wife Arlene also enjoyed wintering, the last 12 years, in Yuma, Arizona.
Loran is survived by his wife Arlene; children, Russ & Jason Slothower; grandchildren, Jordan, Brendan, Austen, Alexis, Ashley, Jocelyn and Kylie; and great-granddaughter, Ava.
A military service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on November 12th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. and a Celebration of life will be held on November 13, 2022 at 1:00pm at Summerplace clubhouse, 2020 N.E. 150th Portland, Oregon.
