Lee Gregory Simonis January 30, 1938 - November 17, 2020

During an ambulance ride on a snowy January day in 1938, Florence and Leonard Simonis welcomed Lee to the world and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Leonard had seen Oregon with the C C Corps. He reflected on Oregon as a promise of a rich family experience. Leonard brought the family to Oregon.
Lee had 3 brothers all told, Russ, Tom and Randy. A home was built in what became Douglas area. Lee went to the brand new David Douglas high school and was honored to be Senior Class President. 1957 era
The US Navy beckoned and Lee responded. San Diego boot camp then Hospital Corps school at Balboa Naval Hospital. Duty at Bremerton Naval Hospital then Fleet Marines training at Camp Pendleton, CA where the fox holes had snakes not foxes! Then Okinawa with the Marines.
Back to civilian life. Portland State, and a summer job at the Coca Cola Plant in NE Portland which led to a career. Lee became Branch Manager. The Coca Cola family experience is forever treasured by the family. Wonderful Life long friends to cherish.
Lee is survived by his wife; Gale, Children David and Jenifer, Grandchildren, Joshua, Angela, Aaron and Sarah and Great Grandchild Lucy.
