José was born on March 11, 1973 in Torrance, California to parents Guadalupe and Maria Navarro. He passed away in Gresham, Oregon on August 2, 2026. He was 53.
José had many roles in our family, he was not just our brother, but he was also a grandpa, a dad, a son, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, a mentor and an artist. José has always been known as a contemplative and creative man. Regardless of his love for solitude, he always showed up in our time of need. He was industrious, knowledgeable, and his rich inner world and perceptive nature meant he always gave the best advice.
He leaves us his creative legacy- from graffiti, murals, sculpture, knife making, metalsmithing, his 2 x 72 Pheer Grinders as well as the echoes of his love, generosity and his faith.
He is survived by his mother Maria V. Navarro. His siblings Maria E., Elizabeth S., Beatriz Navarro, Luis N. Navarro & Neomi A. Navarro. His child Keenan and grandchild Arlen. His nieces and nephews Chris, Gabby, Victor, Armando, Viviana, Luis Antonio, Marissa, Alina and Ana.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 11:00a.m. at the Family Worship Center. Followed by a committal service at 2:00p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
