Janice Pomante August 6, 1937 - November 10, 2021

Janice passed away after a short battle with cancer on November 10th at home with her family by her side. Janice was born August 6, 1937, in Maywood, California to Roy and La Verne (Lucks) Bevens. At a very young age, her family moved to Milwaukie, Oregon where she attended school and graduated in 1955. While in high school, she competed in roller skating competitions at Oaks Park. After graduating high school, she met the love of her life, Thomas D. Pomante and they married July 7, 1956. They had 3 children: Kimberly, Jeffrey, and Angela. They raised their family in a home that they built themselves in Corbett, Oregon. Jan had numerous jobs that she loved throughout her life, but her most passionate role was being a wife and mother. She loved camping, family vacations and her furry companions. As long as she was with family, she was happy. Janice is preceded in death by her husband Tom, daughter Kim and granddaughter Krystal. She is survived by her son Jeff (Kathy) Pomante, daughter Angie (Gary) Gilmore, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held December 12th at 3:00 Gresham Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Cancer Society.
