Gerry Lee Lane January 7, 1942 - January 30, 2023

Born January 7, 1942, in Santa Monica, CA to Robert and Anne Lane. Gerry passed away in Gresham on January 30, 2023, at the age of 81.

A Life Well Lived …

Gerry moved between California and Oregon most of his childhood, before ultimately settling in Gresham Oregon. He grew up learning how to build boats from his stepfather. He joined the Navy out of high school, serving through the Cuban Missile Crisis on the U.S.S Henrico. Met and married his first wife Barbara and had three children. Vincent, Eric, and Candis; of which he is survived by. He built furniture for a time, before working for the city water bureau.

Gerry and his first wife divorced, and he later married his second wife Trudy. To start a new life with her and her two children: Ivy and Wayne (Butch). Of which he is also survived by.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, leading Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts, as well as the Explorer Post. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow, and enjoyed his many years involved in black powder mountain man re-enactment, where he was loved by many of his like-minded peers. He and his wife Trudy lived their lives to the fullest and loved their combined five children, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

We will miss you, Dad; now you are home with Trudy again. We will be with you again one day.

Military Honors will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 12:30 at Willamette National Cemetery.
