Dolores was the oldest of five children born to David and Gena (Torgerson) Parrish. She was raised and educated in Portland and graduated from Franklin High School.
While in high school she met Donald Heacock and they were married August 25, 1954. Dolores and Don raised four sons and actively participated in the boys’ education and sporting activities. Dolores served as PTA President and was an accomplished bowler who taught bowling and was President of her bowling league. Dolores worked for many years at Montgomery Ward and her favorite job was working as a salesclerk in the jewelry department.
Dolores enjoyed reading, playing dominos with her family and taking trips to the beach. She loved playing cards, going to the casino and especially like poker machines.
She is survived by her sons; Dean (Alta), Daryl (Becky), Darrin (Lisa), and Devin, brothers; Dale, Donnie and David Parrish, sister-in-law; Shirley (David) Kellogg, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Donald and her brother Dennis.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, October 28 from 4-6p.m. at Gresham Memorial Chapel 257 SE Roberts Ave. Gresham. A private graveside service will be held for the family.
