Carrol Harrison was born on June 3, 1938 in Westward, CA to Jacob and Esther Miller. She married her best friend Albert Harrison on July 19, 1958 in Reno, Nevada. Shortly after, they relocated to Portland and have now lived in the area for over 50 years.
Carrol spent much of her life as a Special Education Teacher for a variety of elementary schools in the Reynolds School District. Once “retired,” her love for teaching continued as a substitute elementary school teacher for the Gresham-Barlow School District. In her free time, Carrol was often found on a soccer field, in the stands at a baseball game or in the stadium at a track meet. She truly loved watching her grandchildren compete at their various sporting events. She also loved spending time with her family and enjoyed going on walks and taking care of her roses and variety of other flowers in her yard & garden.
Carrol is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, “Al,” her daughters Krista Harrison and Karla Farmen, her grandchildren Caylin and Ethan, and her sister Roberta Cleveland.
Services will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2019 at 2:00pm at Gresham Memorial Chapel in Gresham, Oregon.

November 4, 2019 at 6:42 pmI am very saddened with loss of my dear neighbor Carol. She always had a ready smile, kind words and great sense of humor. I always admired her well-tended flowers, and her diligent walks around the neighborhood. Our neighborhood has lost a wonderful person.
